Chicken Chow Mein

Chowmein is a very common dish in china. Chicken adds a new falvour to the dish. This is the favourite dish of the chinese.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Celery - 1 Cup
  • Mushrooms Chopped - 1 Cup
  • Bok Choy - 1/4 kg
  • Dry Noodles - 1/4 kg
  • Bean Sprouts - 1/2 kg
  • Onion Sliced - 1
  • Carrot Sliced - 1
  • Green Onion - 1
  • Red pepper - 1
  • Soya Sauce -3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper - 2 tbsp
  • Corn Starch - 1 tbsp
  • Water




Method:

In a container add water and salt and boil the noodles. Once the noodles are cooked. Drain the water and add cold water. Drain the water and add little bit of olive oil and keep aside. In a bowl add the chicken which is sliced into thin stripes. Add salt and pepper and cornstarch. Add lemon juice and keep the chicken aside to marinade. Chop the vegetables. In a pan add oil and fry the noodles. Keep them aside. add some more oil and fry the chicken along with chopped onions. Fry until the chicken gets fried properly. Take in to bowl and keep aside. In a bowl mix the vegetables with salt and pepper and cook until the vegetables are cooked. In a pan add the noodles, chicken, vegetable and fry for 2-3 mins. Add the chopped onions to garnish or use sesame seeds. Serve hot. Nice with spicy sauce.
