Chicken Wings

This is one of the most popular recipe from China. The dish would traditionally be taken as a starter but could also be used as a starter, snack or with salad.
For US to UK equivalents see this rough guide

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Chicken Wings - 10
  • Water-chestnut flour - 1 Cup
  • Oil - 4 cups
  • Ginger Sauce - 1/2 Cup
  • Coya Sauce - 1/8 Cup
  • dry sherry - 1 /2 cup
  • Spice powder - 3 tbsp

Method:

In a bowl add the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Add the chicken wings and marinate the wings for couple of hours. Take the wings out from the marinade and dip them in chestnut flour.

Add 1 cup of oil to a frying pan and add the chicken to the oil and fry them until the chicken is golden brown. Fry for 5-10 mins. Serve hot.

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
