Fried Shrimp Balls

This is a recipe for Chinese fried shrimp balls. This meal is called by a variety of names.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Cleaned Shrimp - 1/2 Kg
  • Bacon Strips - 2
  • Water Chestnuts - 5
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper - 2 tbsp
  • Egg - 1
  • Corn Starch - 2 tbsp
  • Oil




Method:

In a bowl add shrimp, chestnuts, chopped onions and mix them well. Chop the bread in to pieces and add the bread to the shrimp bowl. add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Add corn starch and egg also to the bowl again mixing them well.

In a frying pan add 2 cups of oil and once the oil gets hot, make balls from the shrimp and add the shrimp balls to the oil and fry them till they are golden brown. Serve them in a plate and garnish with sliced onions, chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Serve hot.
