Green Tea Icecream

This is a great an unusual (at least to western tastes) ice cream to be served as a dessert at all occassions.
For US to UK equivalents see this rough guide

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Milk - 250 ml
  • Egg Yolks - 2
  • Sugar - 2
  • heavy Cream - 200 ml
  • Maccha gree Tea Powder - 3 tbsp
  • Boiled Water Hot

Method:

Take eggs yolks in a pan and fluff up well. Add sugar and milk to beaten egg and mix well. On low heat keep the mixture and stir it continuously until the mixture gets thick. Cool the mixture. Set aside.

In a bowl add hot water to green tea powder. Add the heavy cream with the tea mixture. Mix well. Add the mixture to the egg mixture, which is cool. Mix it thoroughly and keep it in fridge to chill. Ready to serve.

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
