Kebab

Kebab is an extremely popular meat dish. This recipe gives kebab an extra flavour and juice because all the ingredients are marinated and then cooked to perfection at the same time. Kebab is best served with salad and pita bread or with fried potatoes.

For US to UK equivalents see this rough guide

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 kg lamb
  • 1 cup parlsey, finely chopped
  • Water
  • 4 tsp black peper -
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped

Method:

Cut the lamb in chunks or mince it. Combine the meat with cumin, salt, pepper, and water. Mix well, add chopped onion and chopped parsley. Form a big ball, place in a bowl and keep in the fridge for 12-15 hours to marinade.

Take the meat out and keep at room temperature for 1 hour before cooking.

Form stick-like hamburgers and grill them for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with Greek or garden salad.

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
