Prawn Fried Rice

Prawn Fried Rice is very common in Thailand. Prawns are different from shrimp, and they special flavour to the rice. This dish can be served on special occasions.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg prawns
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 2spring onions
  • 350 g rice
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce




Method:

Cook rice in a pan until the rice is done. Drain the water and keep aside.

In a bowl combine soy sauce, pepper, salt and mix well. Add the prawns and mix and keep them aside to marinate for 2 hours.

In a pan fry the onions till golden brown, add chopped tomatoes and fry for another 5 min. Add spring onions and prawns and fry for 15 min. Add the salt and pepper to taste.

Add rice and mix gently. Cook for 5 more min and let water evaporate. Garnish with fried onions and fish sauce.
