Whisky and Chocolate Crunch (Sweet) Recipe

This is a recipe for a rich pudding or sweet. It uses Scotland's national drink of whisky (note it isn't spelt whiskey-that is Irish) and its other passion - chocolate.

Chocolate and Whisky Crunch

Ingredients
6 oz chocolate digestive (milk or plain)
1 pint whipped cream
3 tablespoons whisky
1 oz toasted split almonds
2 drops vanilla essence
2 egg WHITES
1 oz caster sugar

Method:
Crush the biscuits then spread them equally into 6 sundae glasses. In a bowl, mix/whip the cream, whisky, sugar and vanilla until stiff.

In a different bowl, whip the egg whites into a stiff mixture. Spoon equal quantities alternately into the dishes covering the biscuits. Chill, then decorate with the any of toasted almonds, some grated chocolate, sugar beads (hundreds and thousands) etc according to taste.

As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
